When we first saw the Boker Plus Automat Kalashnikov 101 (not the auto opener) we thought Now that’s a knife. Then we had reservations about the size of the knife. Those reservations were quickly dispelled once we got our hands on it. The slim profile coupled with the FRN handle fit well in our less-than-huge frame hands in all techniques. The thin profile is accomplished with the added support of a 1.5 mil stainless steel liner. The wave blade design offers a formidable appearance whether it is in the plain gray finish or the partially serrated black variant. The sharpness of the blade continues to impress us even after cutting through items that would send the average knife home crying. All this at a very affordable price for the quality components that are the Boker Plus Automat Kalashnikov 101.
